Once the blade becomes dull, you simply break it off, creating a new, sharp cutting edge. This significantly reduces the frequency at which you need to replace your blade.

Excellent design allows only the tip of the blade to protrude with a shield to also support the knife. The 30 degree angle is ideal for many detailed tasks in electronics and mechanical engineering where a scalpel would previously been necessary. Extremely sharp, of course. A lovely tool.
