Okatsune was founded in Hiroshima, Japan in the 1940s by an experienced blacksmith. They started by producing a limited number of pruning shears using traditional blacksmithing methods. Now they've grown, and they produce a large quantity of shears and scissors sold worldwide.
Okatsune shears are forged from yasugi steel, which is extremely sharp and has been used in Japan for centuries. Their shears are known to be sharp, durable and well-made, and are often recommended as great all-purpose gardening shears.
