These Ikebana Shears are a traditional Japanese flower-cutting tool crafted for both indoor and outdoor horticulture, perfect for ikebana, flower arrangement, or the maintenance of potted plants and garden flora. Each pair is hand-forged from high-carbon steel, giving the blades a razor-sharp edge that cleanly slices stems without crushing plant tissue. This clean cut helps flowers and stems absorb water better and stay healthy longer.
Thanks to its total length of about 165mm and blade length around 50mm, these shears offers excellent balance and control, useful for precise trimming, thinning, and cutting stems in tight or delicate arrangements. With a durable forged steel body, this shears is built to last through many seasons of gardening and floral work.
- Forged high-carbon steel construction for sharpness and long-lasting durability
- Made using the same traditional forging techniques that were devloped to create samurai swords
- Compact 165mm total length with 50mm blade, giving precision and control for flower cutting, pruning, and ikebana
Use for cutting fresh flowers, trimming stems, pruning potted plants or garden flowers. Avoid cutting hard wood, thick branches, bamboo, metal wire, artificial plants or other unsuitable materials. After use, wipe off plant sap or moisture from the blades and dry thoroughly. For storage, keep in a cool, dry place; occasionally apply light oil (e.g. knife oil) to the blade to prevent rust.
