Easily cuts through dense root systems. The thinness yet durable and flexible blade of this tool is perfect for removing potbound plants from containers, just slip the blade down between the roots and the inside rim of the pot and saw all the way around to release the roots from the sides. This tool really gets the job done, I have effortlessly divided agapanthus, clivia, orchids and many perennials.
