This Gyokucho Razorsaw 370 is a Japanese pull saw, which cuts with a pulling motion, as opposed to western saws which cut with a pushing motion. This crosscutting saw has an ultra-thin (0.3mm) blade and is ideal for precision woodworking.
Dozuki style saws are Japanese backsaws, and they're generally used for joinery and precision work. It can be used to cut general timber, bamboo, and laminate. It has a replaceable blade with Hijirime teeth specially designed to improve cut quality and reduce sawdust.
Pull saws are lighter than western saws so they require less power, resulting in a cleaner, more accurate cut.
