Featuring Japan's famed warikomi blacksmithing technique - commonly described in English as "laminated steel" - this blade is crafted of an exceptionally sharp yasugi carbon steel core, sandwiched between two layers of quality Japanese stainless steel.
This leaves the razor-sharp edge exposed, while the main body of the blade is protected from corrosion and damage by the stainless steel layers.
The width of the blade makes it perfect for quickly harvesting Chinese cabbage, lettuce, broccoli and other large, leafy vegetables.
